Kid’s can make a killing with a Lemonade Stand. My son is making some serious cash this summer with his. He is making enough to cover the cost of the stand and the supplies and has plenty left over!

Yesterday there was a storm in Northern Illinois that hit Winthrop Harbor and Northpoint Marina where we keep our boat. Unlike most of the other boats, ours had a lot of damage. Just for fun (and for the insurance company), here are a few of the images from the wreckage.
The mast broke off just above the spreaders and forced the whole mast of the boat. What looks like a mast and boom are actually two pieces of the mast.
Anson showing the shredded jib.
The mast broke in half breaking all the instruments and electronics and fraying the halyards.
The Roller Furler came apart and got twisted up.
The traveler got bent and broke off from the stern.
The sail cover is torn and the boom is bent where it separated from the bracket that holds it onto the mast.
Another view of the twisted roller furler.
So much for our holiday cruise up the coast!
